You will assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with directions and service-minded communication, document observations, and escalate concerns promptly.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random foot patrols of academic buildings, residence halls exteriors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter walkways; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

+ Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing activity, checking credentials when required, and/or directing visitors to the proper entry and check-in areas.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and/or suspicious activity, and request additional resources when needed.

+ Observe and report conditions that may impact operations, including unsecured doors, broken lights, and/or unusual behavior; document findings per site procedure.

+ Complete required reports and logs in a timely manner, including incident reports, patrol activity reports, and/or daily shift summaries.

+ Provide directions and general assistance, support event foot traffic flow when assigned, and coordinate with site representatives on special instructions for campus activities.

+ Use site communication tools such as radio and/or phone to maintain situational awareness and coordinate responses with Allied Universal leadership and local partners as directed.

* + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
