Our client is a global luxury fashion house with a strong presence in the U.S. market, known for exceptional craftsmanship, elevated retail experiences, and a commitment to excellence. Operating within a larger luxury group, the organization benefits from best-in-class processes across retail operations, supply chain, and talent development. The NYC office is a lean, collaborative team supporting a growing North American retail footprint, and they are now looking for a Retail Recruiter.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40/hr - $50/hr
Position Overview:
This is a 6+ month temporary opportunity supporting a fast-paced luxury retail organization during a period of growth. The Retail Recruiter will manage full-cycle recruitment for in-store retail positions and partner closely with store leadership and corporate stakeholders. This role is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in a hands-on, strategic environment and enjoys building strong, high-quality candidate pipelines.
Responsibilities of the Retail Recruiter:
* Manage full-cycle recruitment for retail roles including store associates, visual associates, and store managers.
* Proactively source and build talent pipelines using Linked In, email outreach, and creative sourcing strategies.
* Partner closely with store leaders and corporate stakeholders, providing market insights and hiring trend updates.
* Schedule and manage interviews, offers, and candidate communications independently.
* Deliver a high-touch, white-glove candidate experience with timely feedback and follow-up.
* Anticipate future hiring needs related to store openings, maternity leaves, and growth initiatives.
* Operate effectively in a lean, fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
* Utilize an applicant tracking system to manage recruitment activity and reporting.
Required Experience/Skills for the Retail Recruiter:
* 2 - 3 years of recruiting experience within fashion or retail environments.
* Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
* Proven experience sourcing candidates and building pipelines proactively.
* Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
* Strong candidate relationship management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Experience /Skills for the Retail Recruiter:
* Luxury fashion or luxury retail recruiting experience.
* Knowledge of the competitive luxury retail landscape.
* Experience recruiting for multi-location retail environments.
* Familiarity with ATS platforms such as Talent Attract, iCIMS, Greenhouse, or similar systems.
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
