** Job Summary*
* As the Sous Chef, this role is responsible for supporting the successful operation of the Culinary Department for the facility. Working in partnership with the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef assists with oversight of food preparation, cooking, and daily menu execution, including presentation and garnishment. This position may provide supervision to hourly associates and collaborates closely with culinary leadership on menu development, ordering, and the rollout of new initiatives.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Support the Executive Chef with cost management and expenditure controls for the account

+ Assist with menu planning, development, and execution

+ Produce and execute catering and special events

+ Support the implementation of new culinary programs in collaboration with the company's marketing and culinary teams

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Associate degree (A.S.) or equivalent hands‑on culinary experience

+ Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, based on level of education or training

+ Catering experience preferred

+ Experience in high‑volume, complex food service operations strongly preferred

+ Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful

+ Strong knowledge of current food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation

+ Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet‑based tools

+ Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and initiatives

+ Serv Safe certification strongly preferred
