WhatYou Will Do
As the Executive General Manager at Terra - Eat Better Food, you act as the primary stakeholder of responsibility to every part of ensuring a successful restaurant. Working and communicating directly with the headquarter executive leadership team, you will lead the Executive Kitchen Manager and your Assistant General Managers, setting the tone of clear communication. You are the central nerve connecting the needs of your location to the Headquarters team.
You carry the responsibility to be aware of exactly how every aspect of the restaurant needs to be run, be responsible to communicate, train and teach these standards, and most critically, you are the chief leader in ensuring that each part of the business is connected and working together in concert. You act as the authority in the restaurant, seeing to the successful reconciliation of problems, whether by directly leading through crises or perhaps more fundamentally, being the person who calls for the support required to resolve all issues.
- Monitor, Address and Communicate what’s happening in the restaurant by performing regular full restaurant walkthroughs, reviewing our system reports and coaching the teams on how to run at a high level.
- Oversee all aspects of day-to-day restaurant operations.
- Recruit, train, coach, and support a high-performing team focused on guest satisfaction and kitchen operational quality & consistency.
- Maintain & protect our exceptional food quality, cleanliness, and safety standards in compliance with NYC health regulations.
- Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and hospitality in every guest interaction.
- Manage inventory and ordering to keep a control on costs to meet financial targets.
- Apply and enforce operational procedures to optimize efficiency, quality and a positive work environment for our teams.
- Engage with our guests to create long term relationships, playing an active role in representing our brand in the community.
- Follow labor targets, monitoring hours, creating schedules, and managing the needs of the business to achieve labor efficiency.
- Oversee Cash Handling, deposits, and daily financial reporting.
- Build and develop our teams, through individualized training, providing feedback, taking an active interest in the progression of your team, to foster a positive team culture.
- Oversee and coordinate high-volume courier operations, maintaining clear communication with customers both on-site and by phone.
- Conduct teams across multiple stations, keeping communication clear and the system organized.
- Lead the Executive Kitchen Manager,and, as the leaders of the location, establish clear expectations for our teams and ensure quality and service above all.
- Enforce the standards of the Kitchen Operation, hiring new management as needed.
- 3+ years of experience as a General Manager in QSR, fast-casual, or high-volume restaurant environments.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Deep understanding of restaurant operations, and cost controls,
- New York City Food Handlers Card required.
- Proficient in POS systems, scheduling, and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong knowledge of food safety (Serv Safe certification preferred).
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Base Salary of $100,000
- 2 Weeks of Paid Time Off
