Shift: Night Shift - 3 × 12.5 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Compensation

• Local Candidates: $60-$68/hour
  Weekly Range: $2,160-$2,448
• Travel Candidates: $60-$82/hour (includes stipend)
  Weekly Range: $2,160-$2,952

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity Cardiovascular/Open Heart Intensive Care Unit in New York, NY. This role involves providing critical care to post-open heart surgery patients and individuals undergoing advanced cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced ICU setting.
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive critical care to adult cardiovascular ICU patients
• Monitor hemodynamics, cardiac output, and post-operative recovery
• Administer IV medications, fluids, and blood products per protocol
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy as required
• Assist with conscious sedation and provide post-procedure monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-surgical care
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (Cardiac ICU or Surgical ICU preferred)
• Proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy
• Experience with conscious sedation monitoring
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

• RN degree
• Active NYS RN licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
