Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Care
Location: New York, NY 10004
Schedule:
- Hours per Week: 40
- Hours per Day: 8
- Days per Week: 5
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
- Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV initiation
- Adjust and monitor specialized medical equipment; interpret and document clinical measurements
- Monitor vital signs and promptly report adverse reactions or changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning and continuity of care
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatments, and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and documentation
- Adhere to established nursing standards, protocols, and best practices
- Acute Care Facilities:
Minimum two (2) years of Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital; most recent experience within the past year - Post-Acute Facilities:
Minimum two (2) years of Med/Surg experience in a post-acute or acute care setting; most recent experience within the past year - Strong skills in physical assessment, medication administration, wound care, and infection control
- IV therapy and post-operative care experience
- Patient education and care coordination skills
- Telemetry monitoring experience
- EPIC EMR experience
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Certifications & Licensure:
- Active New York State RN license with Primary Source Verification (NYSED)
- AHA BLS certification required
- AHA ACLS required for certain assignments/locations
- Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration required
