Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Care
Location: New York, NY 10004
Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday-Friday
Hours: 40 hours/week | 8 hours/day
Shift Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation
- Local Pay: $78/hour
- Traveler Pay: $85/hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Care to provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in acute and post-acute clinical settings. The RN will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to adult patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Deliver direct bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgical adult patients
- Safely prepare, administer, and document medications
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV therapy
- Monitor vital signs and promptly report changes in patient condition
- Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Adhere to established nursing standards, protocols, and best practices
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital
- Recent experience (within the past year) in acute or post-acute care settings
- Strong physical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Medication administration proficiency
- Wound care and infection control experience
- IV therapy and post-operative care experience
- Patient and family education
- Telemetry monitoring experience
Required:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Active New York State RN License
- Primary Source Verification of RN license (NYSED)
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA ACLS (required for Queens assignments, if applicable)
