Schedule: Monday Friday | 10:00 AM 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $75 $ 85/hr
Primary Location: 801 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY
Other Locations: Various NYC sites must be flexible to travel
Bilingual English/Spanish: Preferred
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a background in Family Medicine, Pediatrics (age 5+), and Women's Health to support multiple outpatient clinical sites. This role requires experience with phlebotomy, immunizations, and nebulizer treatments. The RN will perform clinical nursing functions, assist providers, deliver patient education, and ensure continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient triage, discharge, interviews, counseling, and education; document findings in patient medical records.
Obtain vital signs, administer medications and treatments, and carry out provider orders (immunizations, PPD, inhalation/nebulizer treatments).
Perform procedures including EKGs, hearing/vision tests, bone density, and blood glucose monitoring.
Assist providers with exams, minor procedures, and routine diagnostic/therapeutic testing.
Process lab tests, referrals, and imaging requests; retrieve lab/radiology reports.
Maintain emergency equipment, oxygen tanks, and clinical instruments; perform follow-up for abnormal results and missed appointments.
Maintain cleanliness, sterilization, and organization of clinical equipment and exam rooms.
Practice infection control per OSHA standards; communicate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Nursing
Active NYS RN License
CPR Certification
Phlebotomy Certification
2+ years of experience in ambulatory, clinic, or ER settings
Experience with EMR software and Microsoft Word/Outlook
Experience with phlebotomy, immunizations, and nebulizer treatments
Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish
