This company is based in Manhattan and they operate on a hybrid schedule(in-office Tuesday-Thursday/remote Monday & Friday)
Annual Base Salary Range: $67,000-$85,000
Requirements
This company is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and proactive Senior/Research Analyst to join their Research and Analytics team. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment with a collaborative team.
A successful Senior/Research Analyst should be fueled by an inner drive to learn new ways of thinking and hone their craft. They should be a self-starter and have strong research, data, and organization skills. This company will also expect all team members to demonstrate problem-solving abilities, both when acting alone and as part of a collaborative team, as this company is a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Passion and enthusiasm for the work, as well as team collaboration and respect, are required.
- 2-4 years of experience with tracking, tagging, and analyzing media hits; agency experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree; degree in Research, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing a plus but not required
- Proficiency in Office
365, as well as media database and monitoring tools such as Cision and Pulsar, or other media/digital monitoring tools - Proficiency in Excel and Power Point
- Ability to form insights from analysis
- An open mind, with the ability to learn new skills quickly and comprehensively
- Synthesize data and research trends from a variety of sources to develop strategic insights that became the foundation for communications program development for existing clients and for new business pitches
- Create and execute primary research asks, such as thought leadership surveys or focus group discussion guides
- Develop concise, well-thought-out reports and presentations that tell a story and inform account teams and clients who may be less versed with data from research and/or measurement platforms
- Strong written communications skills; ability to present ideas in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner, both in person and virtually via phone or email
- Assist team members with consumer and business insights - not "data dumps" - to account teams and new business teams, which included:
- Development of target audience profiles, secondary research summaries, and trends reports
- Conducting original research either through survey questionnaires, focus group screeners
- Working with social data tools to understand what consumers are saying about their client's business
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and/or annual wrap reports highlighting the successes of the agency's PR and Digital activations, including:
- Creation and management of PowerPoint and Excel documents for tracking and reporting, including building charts and creative visuals
- Interpretation of Cision, Pulsar, Muck Rack, and other types of listening tool data
- Understanding client objectives to distill findings that are insightful and actionable
- Analyzing and interpreting traditional media and social/digital data
