Key Responsibilities of Accounts Payable Manager:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations for a multi-property portfolio

  • Assign properties and workloads to AP specialists and evaluate team performance

  • Review invoice coding, approvals, and payment accuracy

  • Monitor AP workflow and resolve escalated issues and discrepancies

  • Coordinate payment timing with property and senior management

  • Process vendor payments, management fees, mortgage payments, and non-vendor disbursements

  • Handle internal transfers, wire payments, and banking-related functions

  • Manage vendor communications and provide proof of payment as needed

  • Oversee monthly AP reporting and reconciliation activities

  • Partner with leadership to identify efficiencies and improve AP processes

Qualifications of Accounts Payable Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 3+ years of accounts payable management or senior AP experience
  • Experience with Avid is a must
  • Real estate or property management experience

  • Strong Excel and general MS Office skills

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
