Key Responsibilities of Accounts Payable Manager:
Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations for a multi-property portfolio
Assign properties and workloads to AP specialists and evaluate team performance
Review invoice coding, approvals, and payment accuracy
Monitor AP workflow and resolve escalated issues and discrepancies
Coordinate payment timing with property and senior management
Process vendor payments, management fees, mortgage payments, and non-vendor disbursements
Handle internal transfers, wire payments, and banking-related functions
Manage vendor communications and provide proof of payment as needed
Oversee monthly AP reporting and reconciliation activities
Partner with leadership to identify efficiencies and improve AP processes
Qualifications of Accounts Payable Manager:
Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of accounts payable management or senior AP experience
- Experience with Avid is a must
Real estate or property management experience
Strong Excel and general MS Office skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
