Job type: long-term contract
Location: on-site 3x/week in NYC
Summary:
The LMR Embedded Program Manager is critical for overseeing the successful execution of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) program locations globally. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of LMR systems and technologies.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines.
- Track project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
- Proactively address challenges and implement solutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Effectively oversee project closeouts and capture lessons learned.
- Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
- Possess a strong understanding of LMR systems.
- Review and approve design packages, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate with design teams to develop accurate and detailed design documentation.
- Oversee the selection and procurement of appropriate equipment and materials.
- Effectively explain and apply LMR systems principles to other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
- Proactively address client concerns and resolve issues.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly stakeholder meetings.
- Conduct monthly meetings to report project progress and status to leadership.
- Mentor and guide team members to ensure optimal performance.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team progress.
- Cultivate a trusted environment to foster productivity and value.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet high standards.
- Conduct regular quality assurance reviews and audits.
- Identify and address quality issues promptly.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the communications industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of LMR systems and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Smartsheets, Google Workspace, CAD, Bluebeam, Autodesk).
- PMP
- Experience with specific LMR systems and technologies.
- Understanding of FCC licensing requirements.
- Knowledge of construction and facility management processes.
