Location: United States (must be US-based or hold valid US work authorisation)
Duration: TBC
Day Rate: $3,000–$4,000+
OverviewWe’re supporting a US-based fund undergoing a deliberate shift in its approach to value creation across a complex, multi‑entity portfolio.
This mandate requires a true enterprise‑level operator, someone who has reported directly to the CEO, led large‑scale transformation across $1B+ businesses, and can influence both management teams and investors.
The fund is moving toward strategic operators who can:
- Shape the value creation agenda
- Lead enterprise‑wide change
- Work in the business, not just advise on it
- Translate strategy into operational and commercial results across multiple assets.
- Partner with CEOs and senior leadership across portfolio companies to define, pressure‑test, and execute enterprise‑wide transformation plans.
- Lead large‑scale commercial, operational, and organisational transformation across multi‑entity or multi‑product businesses.
- Serve as a trusted operating partner to the fund, advising on strategic priorities, sequencing, and value‑creation levers across assets.
- Identify and unlock top‑line growth opportunities, including GTM redesign, pricing, commercial acceleration, channel expansion, or post‑acquisition integration opportunities.
- Drive execution at scale, turning strategy into measurable commercial, operational, and financial results.
- Establish data‑driven, repeatable operating frameworks that can be deployed across the portfolio.
- Influence and align CEOs, boards, and investment teams around transformation priorities.
- Report directly into Operating Partners and senior investment leadership.
- Experience reporting directly to a CEO, Group CEO, or Board.
- Track record of leading transformation across $1B+ businesses or complex, multi‑entity portfolios.
- Not just advisory, proven ability to “work in the business” and deliver results.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, complexity, and rapid decision‑making in PE environments.
- Experience driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and business model redesign.
- Background may include GTM, sales ops, commercial strategy, enterprise operations, corporate transformation, or P&L leadership.
- Exposure to PE‑backed or investor‑led environments, preferably across multiple assets.
- Familiarity with value‑creation planning, investment theses, and exit preparation.
- Often ex‑McKinsey/Bain/BCG, though not required if they demonstrate structured thinking and board‑level communication skills.
- Credibility to influence CEOs, founders, and investors.
- Able to build alignment in high‑stakes, high‑velocity situations.
- Comfortable operating as an interim operating partner, advisor, or embedded transformation leader, depending on the portfolio need.
- US‑based or valid US work authorisation.
- Experience leading enterprise‑wide change with direct CEO or Board access.
- Track record of measurable impact in commercial, operational, or organisational transformation.
This is a rare chance to operate at the intersection of strategy, execution, and value creation within a top‑tier fund. You will shape how transformation is done across the portfolio, embedding rigour, pace, and commercial outcomes at a moment where the industry is increasingly recognising the need to work in the business to unlock value.
