Position: Real Estate Associate Attorney (Mid-Level) - Multi Office
REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

An international AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a talented mid-level Associate Attorney to join its leading Real Estate Practice Group in either New York or Boston.

This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated real estate transactions across a wide variety of asset classes and client types, including institutional investors, REITs, and real estate funds.

Candidate Profile
  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
  • 3-4 years of substantive experience in complex real estate transactions.
  • Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, construction and permanent financings (representing both lenders and borrowers), and joint ventures.
  • Familiarity with portfolio transactions, REITs, and real estate fund structures.
  • Strong background in equity joint venture investments, structuring, and entity formation.
  • Exposure to transactions involving multiple asset types, including residential, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, and land.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on a full spectrum of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, and portfolio transactions.
  • Structure and negotiate equity joint venture agreements and entity formations.
  • Work with clients across diverse asset classes, including residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
  • Manage multiple deal components, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in tax, corporate, and litigation groups to provide comprehensive solutions to clients' business and legal challenges.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: $260,000 - $310,000, commensurate with experience and class year.
  • Discretionary merit bonus eligibility.
