Description

NYC Boutique real estate law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 4-8 years of experience in New York City co-op, condo, and landlord-tenant law. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of co-op and condo governance, NYC Housing Court procedures, and landlord-tenant litigation, including experience with rent stabilization and lease negotiations. This position offers exposure to a wide range of real estate legal issues, from advising boards to representing landlords in court, drafting and negotiating leases, bylaws, resolutions, and construction documents, and resolving disputes.

The role also includes handling various ad hoc assignments and opportunities to participate in marketing and training initiatives. This is an on-site role located in Midtown Manhattan. Requirements

Required:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

- Active New York State Bar license in good standing.

- Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in NYC co-op, condo law.

- Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.

Preferred:

- Experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts and lease modifications.

- Familiarity with NYC residential real estate transactions.
