Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Location: New York and New Jersey
Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join their team in either New York or New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling various aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including title and survey reviews, purchases, sales, financings, and leasing. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, a collaborative approach to teamwork, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of titles and surveys to identify any issues or discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions.
- Support financing transactions by preparing closing checklists, coordinating due diligence, and ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
- Draft and review commercial leases, amendments, and related documents under attorney supervision.
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders involved in transactions.
- Organize and manage closing documents, including the preparation of comprehensive closing binders.
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to quickly adapt to new software applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines consistently.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Willingness to occasionally work overtime to meet project deadlines.
