Description:
A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate for its New York office with 3 to 6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience handling all aspects of general commercial litigation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) required.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the our client New York.
- Strong research and writing skills, along with a solid academic record.
- Experience in general commercial litigation, including contract and business disputes, as well as white-collar defense.
- Clerkship or trial experience preferred.
- Experience in a large law firm is strongly preferred.
- This role operates in a professional office setting and requires the use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
- Primarily sedentary work, with occasional need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 10 pounds.
- Tasks involve sitting for extended periods, with some walking and standing required.
- The role requires close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis, transcribing, reading, and working at a computer.
- Compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, location, market demands, and organizational needs.
