A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a talented mid-senior level Associate Attorney to join its Intellectual Property Litigation practice in New York. This is an exciting opportunity to litigate high-stakes, cutting-edge IP disputes for industry leaders in technology, life sciences, and engineering. The ideal candidate will bring both litigation experience and a strong technical background to a collaborative, fast-paced team.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing.
• 5-8 years of substantive experience in intellectual property litigation.
• Technical Undergraduate or Graduate Degree:
  Computer science, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, molecular biology, or a related life science field.
• Strong experience handling all phases of IP litigation, including pre-suit investigations, discovery, motion practice, depositions, expert discovery, and trial preparation.
• Admission to the U.S. Patent Bar preferred, but not required.
• Federal judicial clerkship experience preferred, but not required.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Strong writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a high-intensity, detail-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex IP litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal, including patent, trade secret, and technology-related disputes.
• Analyze technical documentation, scientific data, and patent claims to support litigation strategy and expert development.
• Advise leading technology and life sciences companies on IP enforcement, defense strategies, and risk management.
• Appear in federal district courts, appellate courts, and before administrative bodies such as the PTAB.
• Work closely with partners, clients, and technical experts to develop innovative legal strategies and achieve litigation goals.

Compensation & Benefits

• Highly Competitive Salary: $310,000 - $435,000, commensurate with experience.
