Our client is looking for a Real Estate Investment & Finance Attorney

700+ attorney Full Service Law Firm

5+ years commercial real estate in lender-side finance or equity-side deals

Hybrid (NYC)

Our Client is seeking two full-time Contract Attorneys to join its nationally recognized Real Estate Investment and Finance (REIF) practice for a 6-month engagement, with potential for extension or full-time hire. These roles will support a high-volume, year-end transactional push and provide coverage for ongoing parental leaves. The attorneys will work closely with the Partnership on sophisticated real estate transactions involving institutional lenders, investors, and developers.

This attorney will focus on lender-side real estate finance transactions. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating loan documents, managing closings, and advising on deal structure and risk. Experience leading or co-leading lender-side deals is essential.

This attorney will focus on equity-side real estate transactions, including:

• Purchase and sale agreements
• Joint venture structuring and documentation
• Leasing experience is a plus but not required

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate transaction documents
• Conduct due diligence and manage closings
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Provide legal analysis and strategic input on deal execution
• Support senior partners in client communications and project management

• J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in relevant jurisdiction
• 5–10 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions
• Demonstrated experience in either lender-side finance or equity-side deals
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Hybrid work model with a preference for in-office presence (minimum 2 days/week per Katten-flex policy)
