Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual with substantive industry experience and a degree in software, computer science, or a related field to join our busy patent counseling, prosecution, and litigation practice.
Responsibilities- Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses.
- Analyze patent and scientific papers and documents to assist patent attorneys on patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation.
- Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
- Advise lawyers on technology issues in preparation for depositions.
- Maintain superb technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Utilize broad scientific knowledge in computer science or electrical engineering and expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning (strongly preferred).
- Demonstrate initiative, learn fast, and work well with others.
- Be eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet the requirements for registration as a patent agent.
- Eligible for law school tuition assistance as a patent agent candidate.
The expected annual pay range for this position is $125,000 - $228,000
. Final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
