Client Overview:
Our client is a leading healthcare and financial services provider. They are looking to add a QA Engineer to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30/hr - $40/hr
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a QA Engineer to support the quality and reliability of software applications throughout the development lifecycle. This QA Engineer partners closely with Developers, Product teams, and stakeholders to validate functionality, identify defects, and promote strong quality practices within an Agile delivery model.
Responsibilities of the QA Engineer:
* Create and execute test cases for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
* Validate new features and system enhancements before release.
* Identify, document, and track defects using standard ticketing tools.
* Reproduce reported issues and assist with root cause analysis.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams during Agile planning and delivery cycles.
* Support user acceptance testing and communicate testing progress.
* Contribute to improvements in testing processes, tools, and frameworks.
Required Experience/Skills for the QA Engineer:
* 1 - 3 years of Quality Assurance or software testing experience.
* Strong manual testing and test case development skills.
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
* Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Azure Dev Ops or Jira.
* Exposure to performance and load testing.
* Basic SQL skills for analysis and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of modern web applications and technologies.
* Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience /Skills for the QA Engineer:
* Experience building or enhancing test frameworks.
* Client-facing UAT experience.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
* Ability to independently manage testing efforts.
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
