Technical Operations Engineer – XM Cyber
XM Cyber is a global leader in hybrid cloud security, providing a unique attacker‑perspective approach to finding and remedialing critical attack paths across on-premises and multi‑cloud networks.
This role is based in New York, NY with a salary range of $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year.
About the RoleAs a Technical Operations Engineer you will monitor SaaS solutions hosted on AWS, work closely with Customer Experience and Research & Development teams to optimize processes, improve product quality, and manage escalations. The position requires a proactive, detail‑oriented approach with a strong technical background in cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of our SaaS solution.
- Respond to technical issues in real‑time to ensure production system health.
- Collaborate with Customer Experience and R&D teams to streamline processes and enhance product quality.
- Multitask and prioritize incoming tasks.
- Handle escalations from customers or internal teams efficiently.
- Implement best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting in a cloud environment.
- Continuously identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge.
- Document operational procedures and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Operations or NOC Engineer in a SaaS company.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and best practices for cloud‑based applications.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to handle high‑pressure situations and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with passion for continuous improvement and learning.
- Excellent verbal and written English.
- Availability to work a schedule of four weekdays and one weekend evening each week.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux and Docker/Kubernetes.
- AWS practitioner certificate is an advantage.
- Familiarity with automation concepts is an advantage.
- Experience with cyber‑security companies is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is an advantage.
