Clinical Nurse

Responsibilities:

* Assesses participant's physical and functional needs, along with psychosocial status and needs, utilizing professional knowledge, skills of observations and interviewing skills.

* Documents change in the participant's condition noted in clinic and inform appropriate care members.

* Regularly informs the interdisciplinary team of the medical, functional, and psychosocial condition of each participant.

* Assumes responsibility for continued professional growth, such as in-service programs.

* Responsible for day to day operation and activities of the clinic

* Responsible to ensure that clinical procedures requested are performed in the appropriate time frame

* Interface with transportation companies to ensure residents will be transported to appointments.

* Deal effectively, professionally and tactfully with residents and families. ( add participant instead of resident

* Perform TB test or Quanti

FERON blood test for employees when indicated

* Administer flu and COVID to employees when needed.

* Administer influenza, pneumonia, hepatitis and PPD to participants

* Demonstrates the ability to recognize priorities in organization of workflow. Able to perform duties independently with minimal need for direct supervision.

* Responsible for tracking and documenting PHS for participants

* Responsible for daily and weekly logs in clinic.

* Responsible for ensuring any item that is expiring is reordered

* Notify nurse manager or Program Director when equipment not working properly.

* Ensure steady follow of clinic

* Coordinate with scheduler when a ppt is due to be seen in clinic.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Current NY State Registered Nurse License

Education:

* Associate Degree

* BSN Preferred
