• Assists the anesthesia staff in the set up and initialization of hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
• Assists anesthesia staff in care of patients before, during, and immediately after anesthesia, including transfer to operating table, attaching monitoring equipment, positioning, and assisting in endotracheal intubations, and transfer from OR to PACU.
• Conducts performance tests, calibration and first level repairs of anesthesia equipment.
• Prepares blood pressure transducers, calibrates them, sets up IV solutions and infusions.
• Sets up equipment in the work area and delivers required anesthesia equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoots routine equipment problems in the OR and replaces components as necessary.
• Acts as liaison to clinical support departments to meet anesthesia clinical needs efficiently.
• Assists supervisor in orientation and on-the-job training of employees.
• Assumes other related duties as needed.

This is a per diem evening shift position at NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Must be available to work 1pm-9pm Sunday-Wednesday.

Preferred Criteria

• ASATT certification
• Previous experience as an Anesthesia Technician
• Previous surgical or procedural experience

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mechanical training or experience with equipment, including knowledge of sterilizers and sterility techniques

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
