Oliver Wyman – Actuarial Manager – Health Practice (Manager). Location(s):

The manager will work alongside industry leaders and contribute to a broad range of client projects within the Health Practice.
Responsibilities- Work with Oliver Wyman’s industry leaders and consultants on a broad range of client projects in the Health Practice.
- Engage with clients, including top-tier insurance companies, healthcare systems, regulatory agencies, large employers with captive programs, and private equity firms.
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-based culture that values diverse perspectives and free-flowing ideas.
- Potential projects may include health insurance product development, modeling, and analysis for ACA markets and large group markets; setting pricing assumptions and methodologies; medical and pharmacy claims analysis; market simulations of proposed legislation; regulatory changes and implementation; evaluation of provider contracts and impact on rates; analysis of value-based care and other risk arrangements; and evaluation of care management programs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related field.
- Minimum of two actuarial exams passed; progress towards ACAS/FCAS preferred.
- 4+ years of actuarial experience in the commercial or provider market.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience delegating components of projects and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Proven collaboration and teamwork abilities; deep critical-thinking and problem-solving skills; highly motivated with a willingness to work in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA or other programming languages (R/SAS/SQL/VBA experience a plus).

The base salary range for this role is $107,000 - $160,000, with potential eligibility for performance-based incentives and a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement programs, and other amenities.
