Job Summary- Assist in filling medication orders for inpatients.
- Maintain stock of pharmaceutical and related supplies.
- Process charges and generate computer shelf labels for inventory management.
- Assist in managing proper profiling for the patient.
- Maintain supplies in the pharmacy work area.
- Assist in the preparation of parenteral solutions as needed using compounding technology.
- Assist in the preparation of extemporaneous pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain prescription files.
- Assist the pharmacist in answering drug information service.
- Participate in nursing station inspections.
- Participate in unit dose cassette exchange system and Pyxis replenishment.
- Assist the pharmacist in the parenteral admixture lab.
- New York State Pharmacy Technician License and National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification plus 6‑months of Pharmacy Technician experience, and New York State Pharmacy Technician license within 6‑months.
- 1‑year of Pharmacy Technician experience (or successful completion of a military or other accredited Pharmacy Technician training program). Will be required to receive the National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 18‑months of hire and New York State Pharmacy Technician License within 6‑months of national certification.
