Equity Research Associate

Important global leader that provides financial research support to leading investment banks, hedge funds and buy-side firms, is looking for a Equity Research Associate that will provide on-site support to one of our Investment Bank client in New York, NY.

This associate will work as an extension of the client's team, he will be responsible creating/maintaining detailed financial models, writing company notes and reports, performing competitive analysis of the sector, tracking industry news, analysing macro-economic parameters, among other maintenance activities, such as quarterly earning updates, database management, as an example.

Responsibilities:

• Support new and existing stock coverage by building and maintaining financial models in collaboration from the existing team.
• Financial modelling, help maintaining industry data-set
• Company valuation involving approaches such as DCF, DDM, Trading and transaction multiples, EVA, etc.
• Real-time earning support and writing reports such as company profiles, earning notes, quarterly updates, initiating coverage reports, sector reports, newsletters technology primers

Requirements:

• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VBA Skills.
• Capital markets experience.
• Equity Research experience - 2 to 3 years tracking (or interest in tracking) the following sectors:

• Bio Tech, Life Science, Gaming/Leisure, Alternative Energy/Renewables or Insurance

• Strong skills in financial analysis and report writing.
• CPA or CFA certification or interest in being certified.
• Knowledge of database tools - Bloomberg, Reuters and other financial data systems.
