Investment Banking Associate – Power, Utilities & Renewables

A top-tier middle-market investment bank is seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join its Power, Utilities & Renewables coverage team. This team focuses exclusively on M&A and capital raising within the regulated utilities, renewable energy, unregulated power, and infrastructure sectors. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior bankers on high-impact transactions across a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

• Execute complex M&A and capital markets transactions for clients in the power, utilities, and renewables sectors
• Lead development of financial models, valuation analyses, due diligence, and transaction materials
• Manage day-to-day deal execution, including coordination with clients, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders
• Support senior bankers with industry research, client coverage, and strategic advisory
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., project finance, capital markets, ESG, and corporate banking)
• Mentor Analysts and Interns, contributing to team development and culture

• 4+ years of relevant experience in investment banking or a related financial services role
• Deep understanding of the energy and infrastructure space, particularly regulated utilities, renewables, and unregulated power
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree required

• 6+ years of experience in investment banking or project finance with a focus on energy or infrastructure
• MBA or advanced degree in finance, energy, or related field
• Prior experience advising IPPs, utilities, developers, or infrastructure funds
