Our client is looking for an Investment Analyst to join our Fund Manager Research team in New York. This individual will play a key role in sourcing, analyzing, and monitoring third-party fund managers (private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative strategies). The analyst will support investment decision-making through deep research, model building, and critical thinking.

• Conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative due diligence on prospective and existing fund managers.
• Prepare and update financial models, benchmarking analyses, and performance attribution.
• Attend manager meetings, conferences and related events, and draft structured investment memos.
• Assist in pipeline tracking, sector mapping, and internal investment committee presentations.
• Help maintain internal databases with current fund intelligence.
• Monitor industry trends relevant to manager strategy and risk context.

Profile

• Being passionate about value investing.
• 2-4 years of experience in investment research, fund-of-funds, investment consulting, or similar.
• Strong foundation in investment principles, portfolio construction, and fund evaluation.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills; familiarity with tools like Preqin, Pitch Book.
• Excellent writing and synthesis skills - able to distill complexity into clear insights.
• Intellectual curiosity and high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with an international team.
• Bachelor's degree, CFA progress is a plus.

Travel:
Open to travel as needed, both within the US and internationally
