Standard Chartered Bank Insight Program 2026 – US Overview
The Insight Program is a three‑day, in‑person educational workshop designed to give college sophomores a taste of life within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division of Standard Chartered. Join us to get first‑hand insights into what a career with us could look like, with the opportunity to be considered first for the 2027 summer internship program in our New York office.
Our paid internship programs, in turn, act as a pipeline into our graduate opportunities.
We are committed to fostering an environment which reflects the communities in which we operate, where different perspectives are valued. All students who meet the below eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply. We welcome applications from underrepresented backgrounds to help ensure broad representation across the Bank, however, as an equal opportunity employer all applications are welcome and will be considered without regard to any protected characteristic.
Eligibilitycriteria for all students are as follows:
- Any major or area of study
- Must be in your sophomore year of college with a graduation date in between December 2027 and June 2028
Upon joining the program, you will be fully immersed into the banking world, with the opportunity to experience our culture, learn new skills, and gain an understanding of the route you might want to take after university
You will also:- Learn about Standard Chartered and our global structure
- Hear from senior leaders within our CIB division which includes Markets (Sales, Trading, & Structuring), Global Banking, Client Coverage, and Transaction Banking
- Meet with current graduates to find out what their day‑to‑day work looks like

You don’t need any specific knowledge or experience of the financial services industry to join our Insight Program. We are looking for potential. To us that means a hunger to learn, a curiosity to understand, and a passion to do the right thing. Successful applicants will be motivated, enthusiastic, confident communicators and ready to get involved in a variety of different challenges!
TheInsight Program is an unpaid educational workshop; however, travel and accommodation will be reimbursed for students outside of the immediate NYC/NJ area. About Standard Chartered
