Estimator - Construction Cost Management

Job Description

Join a leading construction consulting firm as an Estimator, where you will play a vital role in preparing detailed estimates by calculating various statistical data to determine labor, material, and equipment costs. You will define and quantify the scope of work, preparing comprehensive conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates for high-end projects.

Responsibilities

* Prepare estimates by calculating statistical data such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, and labor costs.

* Define and quantify the scope of work and prepare comprehensive conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates.

* Review and research historical data to compile summary reports for future estimates.

* Collaborate with project management teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in cost management.

Essential Skills

* 4+ years of estimating experience

* Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering

* Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office

* Experience in Civil Structural and Architecture, including Steel, Concrete, Foundation, Facade, Roof, Elevators, etc.

* NYC experience is a must

* Experience in project management, construction management, and commercial construction

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Proficiency in Revit is a plus

* Experience with cost consultant firms is ideal

* Takeoff experience along with core and shell

Work Environment

Work in a professional and reputable high-end construction consulting office with a hybrid schedule. The team is England-based, with many team members sent over from England. Engage in elaborate and large-scale projects within a supportive and structured environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
