Annual Security Report Notice

The LGBTQA+ Center is seeking a Graduate Student Intern that will work with the LGBTQA+ Center director on outreach, staff management, training, and development of educational programs for the campus community. The Graduate Intern will connect students to resources; plan and develop programs; co-facilitate trainings and discussions; perform basic web maintenance and social media management; and help organize a weekly newsletter.
The Graduate Intern will gain valuable and transferrable skills, such as staff management, event planning, LGBTQA+ knowledge, that can support future employment opportunities.
The Graduate Intern will work 20 hours throughout the week, preferably during business hours (10:00am - 6:00pm) and on site in 41 Park Row. The Graduate Intern can anticipate training that will prepare them to support the programmatic, administrative, informational, and visibility efforts of the LGBTQA+ Center. We look forward to the successful candidate beginning their employment as soon as possible.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
* Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
* Knowledge of and interest in supporting the needs of the LGBTQA+ community
* Ability to help manage and motivate a team
* Ability to plan, advertise, and execute LGBTQA+ Center programming
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Reliable and patient with visitors
* Ability to work independently
* Strong customer service and organizational skills
