Assistant Professor

Overview

The New York School of Career and Applied Studies (NYSCAS) at Touro University seeks a dedicated faculty member to contribute to the Business and Accounting Department at its main campus in the vibrant 3 Times Square location. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction, engaging in scholarly research and publication, and actively participating in university service. Semesters comprise 15 sessions with a maximum enrollment of 25 students per course.

Proficiency in the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Responsibilities

* Instructional Delivery:

* Teach four courses per semester (Spring and Fall), accommodating diverse scheduling needs including day, evening, and Sunday classes.

* Deliver instruction in a hybrid modality, seamlessly integrating in-person classroom teaching with concurrent Zoom sessions.

* Develop and maintain engaging and effective course materials and assessments.

* Scholarly Activity:

* Conduct and disseminate business-relevant research through publications in reputable scholarly and professional journals and books.

* University Service:

* Actively participate in university committees and contribute to the broader academic community.

* Attend and contribute to faculty meetings and engage in the intellectual life of the university.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

* Master's degree in a relevant field required.

* Doctorate preferred.

* Terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., DBA) in a relevant discipline preferred.

* Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, particularly under pressure.

Travel

* Travel may be required to other Touro University campuses within the New York City area.

Working Conditions

* Instruction will primarily take place at the 3 Times Square campus and via Zoom.

Maximum Salary

USD $82,400.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $65,920.00/Yr.
