We are currently offering highly competitive salaries for experienced
General Studies Learning Center Specialists/ Reading Specialist with Master's degrees at our Brooklyn school. We are looking for candidates who are ready to start immediately. The General Studies Specialist will provide push-in and/or pull-out support in reading, decoding, and/or reading comprehension/writing to small groups of up to 6 students in grades 1-5.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support in reading decoding and reading comprehension.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers.
  • Communicate regularly with parents on student progress.
  • Conduct reading decoding and comprehension assessments.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or NY Certification in Special Education or Reading.
  • Training and experience using Wilson Reading System programs (E.g. Wison, Fundations), Orton Gillingham or PAF methodologies preferred.
  • Experience working with small groups of struggling learners.
