Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) - Mathematics at City College of New York, part of CUNY.
Position DetailsThe Department of Mathematics invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2026. The department has strong research programs across applied and pure mathematics, with a particular need for expertise in Computational Mathematics, broadly construed.
ResponsibilitiesTeach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics; supervise doctoral students; develop a research program in Computational Mathematics; contribute service to the department, college, and community.
Qualifications- Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely allied field is required.
- Strong research record and grant experience in Computational Mathematics.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and service.
- License to work full‑time in the United States.
- At least two years of postdoctoral research or teaching experience after the doctorate.
Salary range: $90,838 – $102,017, plus health insurance, pension, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
