Corebridge Real Estate Investors ("CREI") is a recognized real estate investor and developer with an active focus on multifamily and industrial product types. Our broad footprint with national execution capabilities, and our diverse team of professionals with extensive real estate knowledge, allow us to execute on a full range of investment opportunities.
About the role
We are seeking a talented Construction Services Vice President with experience in design/build and building construction projects. This Owners Representative position will entail oversight of the entire preconstruction and construction process, to both manage construction risks and assist partner developers in the design and development process. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all design and construction activities at various locations across the United States.
Individual shall operate with initiative and strong degree of independence representing Corebridge Real Estate Investors in a professional manner with all clients and outside consultants.
Responsibilities
* To ensure that all projects are meeting the quality standard established at the outset of a project and that the projects progress within schedule and budget.
* To review budgets and schedules presented by development partners and assess the capabilities of development partners.
* To direct and/or interact with both in-house staff and outside consultants including lawyers, architects, contractors, tenants and agents in all aspects of design and construction.
* The individual will be responsible for approving contractors to be included in bid lists, analyzing bids with the project managers, and awarding construction contracts.
* To identify the elements of buildings that enhance the value of the property in specific markets and to make sure that the owner obtains the best quality product for the lowest cost.
* To maintain an understanding of sustainable issues and follow new trends and developments in the industry in order to ensure that the company is constantly implementing best practices in sustainable design and construction.
* To perform financial analysis required to evaluate investment quality of projects.
* To direct several projects in different national locations simultaneously.
* To continue to promote the company's profile and build the company's network of contacts throughout the region.
* Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
* Ten to fifteen years' experience in design/build and construction management of multi-family, commercial, and industrial/warehouse projects. Experience in real estate development is a plus.
* Individual should have a bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or related field.
* Excellent writing and verbal skills coupled with excellent presentation skills.
* Possess advanced computer ability with word processing, spreadsheet and scheduling software.
* Excellent negotiating skills.
* Proven management and leadership skills.
* Ability to work with a wide variety of people/personalities and diverse disciplines.
* 50%+ travel required.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.
In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

This position is based in Corebridge Financial's New York office.
Estimated Travel
May include up to 50%.
