My client, a well-established civil construction contractor operating throughout New York, is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple heavy civil and site development projects.

They are looking for a hands‑on, highly organized leader who can manage field crews, coordinate project activities, and ensure safe, high‑quality execution. This role is critical in driving schedule, productivity, and overall project success.

• Oversee daily field operations on civil construction projects
• Lead and mentor foremen, superintendents, and field crews
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors
• Maintain project schedules, manpower plans, and equipment needs
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with local and state regulations
• Support planning, sequencing, and problem‑solving during construction
• Monitor quality control and ensure work meets project specifications
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep projects running smoothly

• 8+ years of experience in heavy civil, sitework, roadwork, utilities, or related construction
• Proven experience in a Superintendent or General Superintendent role
• Strong understanding of NY construction requirements, permitting, and safety standards
• Ability to manage multiple crews and high‑volume workloads
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Based in New York, with travel to various project sites across the region.
