The Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza is looking for a Assistant Director of Sales to join our team!
Our 439-room Midtown high-rise is the closest hotel to the United Nations and half a mile from Grand Central Station. We're within one mile of Bryant Park, The Morgan Library, and Rockefeller Center.
Our ideal candidate will be a current Assistant Director of Sales or a tenured Senior Sales Manager with demonstrated leadership oversight in their present role. They should possess a deep understanding of the group sales business, operate with strong commercial savvy, and excel as a multitasker. This individual must be a confident presenter and an effective spokesperson for the department.
In addition to leadership responsibilities, the candidate will oversee designated markets based on the hotel's needs and shifting business priorities. They must be agile in transitioning between markets to support revenue goals and ensure the continued performance and success of the hotel.
Shift Pattern: Office Hours 8:30AM - 5:00 PM with required availability to flex to early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays to support the sales efforts of the hotel group sales department.
Pay Range: This is a salaried role and participates in Hilton's sales incentive plan.

What will I be doing?
An Assistant Director of Sales is an extension of the Director of Sales and is responsible for managing a high-value group segment while mentoring select members of the team. Hilton is seeking experienced sales professionals, who want to grow into leadership roles and lead teams of their own.
Hilton's Commercial Services organization is comprised of team members driving our sales, revenue, marketing, catering and events management, call centers, and analytics functions. These functions are the core of Hilton's "commercial engine" and are essential to Hilton's ability to drive profitable growth.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to support the group sales team at your hotel/complex and support and participate in business strategies that are creative, dynamic and impactful towards achieving your hotels annual budget and crossover targets.
As an Assistant Director of Sales, you will individually own and manage a key vertical market for your hotel as well as contribute leadership support to the commercial strategies for the sales team. One of your goals is to support the performance improvement of the sales team by helping them connect strategy and business processes. Business processes should be executed to impact revenue streams, including Rooms, Catering and Events.
Key deliverables for this role are to support the deployment, team composition, and support the team's activities that are a "predictive and prescriptive" approach to drive performance.
