Job Description
The Electronic Technician must be able to install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate, make adjustments to and be responsible for electrical, electronic, and pneumatic process control systems and devices used in production, office, and utility areas. This individual must also interact and influence decisions made concerning the types of equipment implemented, and the methods of application with vendors, supervisory and maintenance personnel, as well as other employees.
This person is responsible for the safe and proper operation of forklift trucks, man-lifts, hand tools, hydraulic and electric‑powered portable and stationary tools of all types.

- Electronic Technician positions begin at $35.71 - $38.16 per hour; pay rate could increase based on licensures or certifications of candidate.

Weekly Rotating Shifts for Production Employees, Monday through Friday. Shift start time depends on the department, but weekly rotations begin on 3rd, 2nd, and then 1st shift.

Job OverviewThe Electronic Technician must be able to install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate, and make adjustments to electrical, electronic, and pneumatic process control systems and devices used in production, office, and utility areas. This individual must also influence decisions concerning equipment implementation and application methods with vendors, supervisory, maintenance personnel, and other employees. The role also includes safe operation of forklift trucks, man‑lifts, hand tools, hydraulic and electric‑powered portable and stationary tools.
Responsibilities& Duties
- Know, apply and evaluate electrical theory and operating principles of major and minor electrical components such as, but not limited to, substation switch gear, low and high voltage circuit breakers, fault indicators, transformers, motors, motor starters, relays, switches, conduit and conduit fittings.
- Set up, operate, and use hand tools, air and electrical powered portable hand tools, machine tools, and a wide variety of electrical, electronic, mechanical and pneumatic precision testing and measuring devices.
- Work responsibly, being aware of accountability and safety of equipment, plant personnel, and process control systems.
- Engage in troubleshooting, testing, repair, replacement, adjustment, calibration, and cleaning of system components and devices.
- Design, modify and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controller circuitry using laptop and personal computers to read and write electrical/electronic ladder logic and other programs; accept required training to maintain and upgrade technical abilities.
- Read and work to the indicated accuracy, specifications and tolerances detailed on engineering drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Set up, operate and read precision testing and measuring instruments to the manufacturers’ specifications and accuracy, including ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, gauges, recorders, and capacitor analyzers.
- Work from both written and verbal instructions.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate and make repairs or adjustments using repair parts, correcting existing parts or innovating substitute parts.
- Perform periodic PMs on all system controls, and establish additional PMs as determined.
- Maintain the minimum required quality and quantity of personal hand tools as instructed by your supervisor.
