OverviewThe City of New Ulm is seeking a full‑time Librarian I to plan, organize, and deliver library services and programs. The role includes supervising staff and volunteers, overseeing programming and technology services, and supporting the library’s mission of providing inclusive, innovative, and responsive services to the community.
Responsibilities- Oversee an assigned service area (programming and technology services)
- Develop and present programs
- Assist library users with resources and technology
- Participate in collection development
- Maintain community partnerships
- Supervise staff and volunteers
- Support library communications and reporting
- Serve as supervisor in charge of the library when required
- Participate in continuing education and regional library committees
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field and three years of relevant library or public service experience
- Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) may substitute for required experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Evening and rotating Saturday availability
Pay range: $33.89 – $43.51 per hour depending on qualifications.
