Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Westfields Hospital & Clinic's Med/Surg department, in collaboration with the attending physician and the health care team, supports and cares for patients in all areas of the critical access hospital.

Duties include:

  • Assesses, admits, transfers or discharges patients and completes all necessary documentation.
  • Performs basic patient care responsibilities as ordered by the physician and per standards of nursing care, considering age-appropriate needs.
  • Evaluates the patient’s condition and response to treatments, notifying the physician, charge nurse and other care givers as appropriate.
Work Schedule
  • 20 hours every week - .5 FTE, part-time
  • Evening and night shifts
  • Rotating holidays
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin required.
  • BLS Certification required at hire and ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in EPIC computer system
  • Minimum of 2 years hospital experience, preferably high obs, progressive care, or ICU experience.
