Private Equity Fund Accounting– AVP
Role OverviewThis position sits within a global fund finance function supporting private equity investment vehicles offered through a private wealth and multi-asset platform. The team is responsible for fund-level accounting, performance reporting, and investor reporting, while also partnering closely with front-office, portfolio management, tax, and investor-facing teams. The role offers broad exposure to fund operations, financial reporting, and stakeholder interaction in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Review daily cash movements and investment activity
- Monitor and track credit facility usage and related reporting
- Review journal entries and perform general ledger account analysis
- Coordinate capital calls and investor distributions
- Review carried interest and distribution waterfall calculations
- Review management fee calculations and investor billing
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, including audited reports and disclosures
- Prepare quarterly capital account statements and internal reporting packages
- Support investor inquiries related to fund activity and reporting
- Manage regulatory filings and reporting requirements (e.g., private fund regulatory submissions)
- Partner with tax teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data Assist with special projects and ad-hoc internal initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 5-15 years of experience in public accounting and/or private equity fund administration
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to build effective working relationships across teams and seniority levels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with private equity fund accounting systems a plus
