Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the transportation of hazardous waste (tank, van, and/or roll-off dump trailer) from a generator/facility to a company facility and/or an outside disposal facility adhering to Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). hazardous waste (HAZMAT) regulations; communicate regularly with Coordinators regarding daily times and demurrage.
* Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded, etc.);
Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment.
* Responsible for maintaining daily logs, worksheets, timecard, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports and vehicle inspection reports.
* Maintain and clean assigned Company equipment as well as ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
* Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs;
* Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations;
* Valid driver's license, CDL Class A and other requirements of company's driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business;
* Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
* 1+ year(s) of experience driving a roll-off vehicle.
