JOB SUMMARY
:
The Dining Room Attendant position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of customer service while supporting the front of house team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Interacts with guests and co-workers in a helpful, positive, upbeat, and professional manner.
- Ensures assigned work area is neat, clean and sanitized throughout shift by wiping tables, counter areas, beverage stations, sinks, and sweeping and mopping floors and grounds as required to maintain a clean and safe workstation throughout entire venue.
- Remove and replenish dirty dishes, glassware, and flatware from tables and countertops, transports to dish area, and maneuvers bulky carts in confined spaces.
- Responsible for the monitoring and replenishing of all stock items in assigned area in a neat, accurate and timely fashion.
- Assists servers as needed.
- Make or replenish coffee, tea, water, or soft beverages as needed.
- Partners with both FOH/ BOH teams to work as a team to ensure coordinated work flow during shift to meet business demands and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintains all equipment in proper fashion (coffee machines, soda and juice dispensers, ice bins, service stations, and refrigerators).
- Accountable for meeting or exceeding all sanitation requirements (Serv Safe).
- Adheres to regulatory, safety, departmental and company policies.
- Supports safety and accident prevention programs (non slip footwear, proper lifting).
- Presents oneself as a credit to Company and encourages others to do the same.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Success is defined by traits like a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a demonstrated history of anticipatory service.
Previous experience of at least one year in a high-volume, fine dining establishment is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a Food & Beverage related position for a high-volume nightclub or high-volume restaurant preferred.
- Ability to read and write English sufficiently to perform job.
- Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
- Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency.
- Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests.
- Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations
PHYSICAL,MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required
- Ability to be on feet for entire shift.
- Ability to move throughout the outlet (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.
- Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
- Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
- Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
