Overview

Manager - National Tax Office (J.D. Required)  organization is seeking someone who thrives in a growing environment, provides exceptional client service, and can contribute to a collaborative tax team.

• Responsible for research and analysis of federal income tax issues, including partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, timing issues and accounting methods, digital assets, and other matters
• Assist with M&A tax structuring and internal restructuring
• Draft emails and memos
• Draft firm-wide alerts on current developments in federal income tax
• Assist with firm-wide trainings in federal income tax
• Assist with federal domestic tax due diligence in connection with M&A transactions

• 4+ years of progressive federal income tax consulting experience (large law firm, large accounting firm, or IRS preferred)
• J.D. and Tax LL.M.

• Experience working with partnerships, S corporations, and/or C corporations
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Strong proficiency with tax research databases (such as Bloomberg BNA and RIA Checkpoint)

For Minnesota and Illinois, the expected salary range is between $110,000 and $170,000. The range for other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

For New York City and California, the expected salary range is between $85,000 and $150,000. The range for other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
