This essential position supports the core mission of the Economic Stability programs by providing clerical, programmatic, and administrative support to staff, applicants, and clients. The role contributes to the accurate and timely delivery of multiple federally and state-regulated benefits programs, including SNAP, FITAP, Kinship Care Assistance, and STEP. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties:
* Serve as receptionist and telephone operator, greet clients, conduct initial interviews, and assess their needs to connect them with appropriate staff or services.
* Collect and verify client information, assist Social Service Analysts in determining program eligibility, and perform tasks within complex automated systems.
* Perform general clerical and administrative support, including handling mail, scanning documents, maintaining records, and compiling data to support staff operations.
* Maintain current knowledge of program policies and procedures to ensure accurate services and information are provided to clients.
* Maintain readiness for disaster and emergency response, including D-SNAP operations, shelter registration, and assisting evacuees with basic needs during emergencies.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development, including emergency preparedness and program-specific certifications, to enhance skills and maintain operational readiness.
