Full‑time Catering and Events Coordinator

The Higgins Hotel seeks a Full‑time Catering and Events Coordinator to support the catering and events team.

SUMMARY

The Coordinator performs administrative and clerical support, greets visitors, returns calls, assembles event order information, prepares sales/catering files, arranges appointments, prepares minutes, and makes travel arrangements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Coordinator assists the Catering and Events Managers, administers contracts, BEOs, Change Log, and Guarantee System, tracks deposits, submits documentation to accounting, maintains client filing system, and supports the team with software such as Delphi/Salesforce, Hilton Fastpay, e‑Menus, e‑Proposals, Master Billing, Sertifi Payment, and Hilton Honors Award Points. The role requires strong business acumen, excellent communication, high attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional education preferred).
  • Computer literacy and spreadsheet programming knowledge.
  • Strong word processing and business letter format skills.
  • Office administration skills including phones, copiers, fax, personal computer, calculator.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Typing 55 wpm.
  • One‑year front office and/or reservations experience preferred.
  • One‑year sales and/or catering experience preferred.
  • Minimum age requirement of jurisdiction met.
  • Effective communication with the public and employees.
  • Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
