Retail​/Rental Cashier

Angel Fire Resort is seeking knowledgeable and friendly Retail/Rental Cashiers to join our bike shop team this summer. This position is responsible for providing positive guest experiences, being educated on and passionate about the bike shop products, and overall contributing to the success of the shop. The ideal candidate will have experience in a bike shop environment, excellent communication skills, and a friendly and helpful demeanor.

Base Pay: Starts at $14/hr

Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential, includes weekends and holidays as scheduled

Estimated start date: Mid May

Minimum Age: 18 (cash handling position)

Typical Shift: Starts around 8am and ends around 4pm

Environment: This is an indoor position. Must be able to stand, sit, and talk for long periods of time, and regularly lift/carry 40lbs.

• Welcomes guests as they enter the shop and answers questions concerning cost of items, features of items, resort activities, hours of operation, weather conditions, etc.
• Ensures that guests accurately complete the waiver of liability and rental forms and provides assistance as needed
• Operates the computer point of sales system and ensures accurate monetary transactions
• Answers phone calls and assists guests with product inquires and rental reservations
• Maintains knowledge of products and communicates the benefits and features of products to guests
• Keeps daily balance sheet of cash received and items sold
• Counts money at the end of each shift and takes money to the cash office
• Check in bike equipment when necessary
• Maintains cleanliness and restocking of the shop and proper storage of all inventory and retail items
• Appropriately handles complaints and resolves grievances to ensure guest satisfaction
• Handles customer resolutions professionally, responsibly, efficiently and accurately
• Monitors Angel Fire Resort web site on a regular basis to be continually informed of mountain conditions, activities, and events
• Other associated tasks & duties as assigned

• Some knowledge of bike components and bike apparel is preferred
• Previous retail and point of sale experience is an advantage but not essential
