QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferably knowledgeable and experienced in food preparation.
- Demonstrates cooperativeness and willingness to acquire added skills in the area of nutrition and related areas.
- Must have a food handlers license.
Head Cook
Job GoalTo assist the head cook in serving students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth.
Performance Responsibilities- To serve students attractive and nutritious meals in a friendly, efficient, and clean atmosphere.
- To assist in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
- To assume responsibility for seeing to it that the supply of food offered is replenished regularly during meal service periods.
- To assist in the daily clean-up of the kitchen and service areas.
- To perform major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the head cook.
- To assume responsibility for storage and disposal of unused food.
- To perform other assigned tasks as required by the immediate supervisor.
Work year - 184 days - 6 hours daily - salary to be determined according to salary schedule.
EvaluationPerformance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the school board’s policy on evaluation of Supportive Services Personnel.
