Quality Specialist

Contract Duration: 6+ months contract (Possible Extension)

Pay Rate: $40/hr- $47/hr on w2

• The Site Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with contractual and local quality standards throughout all phases of site/field operations, from civil, mechanical, and electrical erection to commissioning. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control, and ensuring governance to management systems, coordinating inspections, and driving adherence to project quality requirements.

• Be the liaison with the Project Quality Managers.
• Review and interpret contractual and local regulations applicable to site quality.
• Ensure Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and erection documentation (drawings, procedures, etc.) are in place before activities commence.
• Evaluate Contractor Quality Plans for alignment with Project Quality Plans and customer specifications.
• Verify that inspections and testing during erection and commissioning are conducted, documented, and validated per approved ITP sequences.
• Oversee the proper preparation, compilation, and submission of final quality documentation to customers, third parties, and regulatory authorities.
• Track the completion system at the site, providing an overview of inspection status, certifications, and outstanding work (including punch lists).
• Verify that all testing and measurement equipment at the site is calibrated, properly documented, and compliant with certification standards.
• Assess overall quality performance at site.
• Identify, report and manage non-conformance.
• Ensure Cost of poor quality is reported.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control as well as Process Management/System for Construction and Commissioning.
• Strong track record in Change-Management, with experience in managing internal projects/programs within large and complex organizations.
• EPC, Power or Energy industry experience required.
• Familiarity with construction codes and standards.
• Proficiency in completion systems and computer skills.
