In this LPN Long-Term Care role, your day-to-day responsibilities will reflect the core duties of skilled geriatric nursing while offering pathways for growth. You’ll perform comprehensive assessments, monitor residents’ stability, administer prescribed medications, manage wounds and infections, and support activities of daily living with dignity and respect. You’ll collaborate with licensed nurses to develop and adjust care plans, educate residents and their families about treatment goals, and document clinical findings in the electronic health record with precision.

Your critical thinking and compassionate communication will help anticipate needs, prevent complications, and respond swiftly to changes in a resident’s condition. The role also invites you to expand your expertise in geriatric pharmacology, mobility and fall prevention strategies, nutrition and hydration oversight, and palliative care principles as you progress.
